Saturday October 24, 2015 the world celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Super 8 film format. From Australia, Japan to America and Europe, many film enthusiasts will celebrate this popular amateur film format.
In the Netherlands, the Dutch Foundation for Amateurfilm (Stichting Amateurfilm) has compiled as special program called “De Kracht van Super 8” (The Power of Super 8) in which a variety of filmmakers – young and old, professional and amateur – bring an honour to the Super 8 film. The event will take place in the old Film Academy in Amsterdam, OT301.
