Home movies Prince Charles made public in BBC-documentary.

In a tribute by the Prince of Wales to his mother, never-before-seen footage of the British Royal family was disclosed. The footage, including home movies of and by the Queen herself, has been used for a BBC documentary celebrating Queen Elizabeth’s recent Diamond Jubilee of 60 years on the throne.

In the documentary, broadcasted on June 1st 2012, Prince Charles shares his family memories of the Queen while adding his own commentary and insights. The documentary includes footage – filmed by the Queen – of a nine-year-old Charles and his younger sister Princess Anne on a family beach holiday in Norfolk in 1957. In this fragment the two children are seen buried up to their necks in the sand with a corgi dog between them.
