Dutch filmmaker creates international hit with ‘time-lapse home movies’.
On April 16th, 2012 the Dutch filmmaker Frans Hofmeester uploaded his time-lapse clips in which he portrays his children Lotte (12) and Vince (9) in their growing up process. These films, which may also be labeled ‘time-lapse home movies’, immediately became an international hit. After almost half a year now, the clips have been watched 2.5 million times on YouTube and 7 million times on Vimeo. Moreover, the project was picked up by television broadcast stations all over the world, including CNN and news stations in Japan.
